NSX License and Compute Managers

Before A Transport Node can be added you need to add a Compute Manager and add a valid license.

The Compute Manager will typically be a vCenter Server. This vCenter Server will be responsible for the management of the ESXi hosts and the Virtual Machines. These ESXi hosts and Virtual Machines will be used by NSX to provide network services to and with.

Before the ESXi hosts can be converted into Host Transport Nodes the license needs to be added. Depending on the NSX features different types of licenses are available.
