The CCIE Datacenter track
Yesterday I was browsing trough my Facebook page and my eye catched a post of FryGuy with a link to his blog with the following header "">CCIE Data Center – It Looks To Be Real!" I know that the rumor has been going on for a while ... so suddenly I am all focused when this is becoming official. As I work in the Data Center field this track has my attention ... besides, CCIE Wireless, CCDE, CCAr something else suddenly appears on my "goals" list and I believe this one shifted to #1. I am looking forward to go to the Cisco Live Event as well (still waiting for managers approval) and follow this Techtorial!
I think we can expect more on:
- Nexus 7000, 5000, 3000, 2000, 1000V, 1010
- Cisco Unified Computing (UCS) with Nexus 6000
- ACE technology (load balancing) together with Cat 6500
- Global Site Selectors (GSS)
- Wide Area Application Services (WAAS) virtual, appliance and NM
- Data Center management for WAN and LAN
- and of course Visualization (UCS, Nexus 1000v)
It would be nice to include VMware as well, and make the CCIE Datacenter certificate depend on VMWare's VCP (currently VCP5) certification like Cisco did with the Cisco Data Center Unified Computing Design Specialist track.
Looking forward to start this track! Who is with me?! :-)
